Vacation Bible School
August 2 - August 6
Once again this year we will have VBS with the First United Methodist Church (across the street)! This year, it will be a little different because we will have the opening for all ages HERE in our sanctuary!
Children ages pre-school through 6th grade are invited to join the fun as we learn about praising God through a week of Galactic Blast!
VBS begins each day at 9 a.m. and concludes at 12 noon.

Ecumenical Worship at Bandshell Park August 1
First United Methodist, First Christian and the United Church of Christ – Congregational will hold a combined worship service Sunday, August 1 at Bandshell Park, Sixth Street and Duff Avenue in downtown Ames. The service begins at 9:30 a.m. Worship will include a music combo led by Michael Golemo,Professor of Music and Director of Bands at Iowa State University. Expect some Dixieland, jazz and American folk tunes before, during and after the service. There will be a songfest, time for children, a baptism and communion. The public is invited to bring lawn chairs and enjoy worship outdoors. In case of rain, worship will be at First United Methodist Church, 516 Kellogg Ave.
