Small Groups Offering Fellowship

Evening Book Club (1st Monday, 7:00 PM)

The evening book club usually meets in the church office conference room the first Monday of each month at 7:00 pm.  We read books suggested by those who attend.  One person leads the hour discussion of the book of the month.  New readers are welcome any time.

Men’s Fellowship (2nd & 4th Tuesday, 12:00-1:00 PM)

Calling all men! Bring your lunch at noon to the Fellowship Hall to enjoy the stories, fellowship and fun!

Needlers (2nd & 4th Tuesday, 1:30 PM)

If you knit, crochet, quilt or do needlework of any kind, we have a group for you!  We meet the first and third Wednesdays of the month at 1:30 pm in the Parlor.  Not only do we needle, but we share stories and solve the problems of the world.

Peace Bell Ringers (Wednesdays, 12:10 PM)

If you are interested in social justice and peace, join us in the bell tower at 12:10 pm to ring the bell, discuss issues, and pray for justice and peace.

O'Henry Book Club (2nd Wednesday, 1:00 PM)

O'Henry Book Club usually meets the second Wednesday of each month at 1 pm in the church parlor.  This year marks eleven years that we have enjoyed coming together to probe the fiction works of major authors, past and present.  Newcomers are always welcome.

Wednesday Intergenerational Gathering (Wednesday, 5:30-7:00 PM)

Our community gathers to share a potluck meal and fellowship in an atmosphere of informal worship.  With music and stories, we share experiences from the Bible and our lives in creative ways.
Check the newsletter and bulletin for topics and dates.

Youth Group (Wednesdays, 6:00-7:00 PM)

Youth (Grades 7-12) meet weekly to share a meal together and time together!  Our youth group focuses on fellowship, faith, and outreach.  These activities change each week, but one thing stays the same, you will always be glad you came!

Chancel Choir (Wednesdays, 6:45-8:00 PM)

If you like to sing, you are invited to join the chancel choir in the choir room, lower west level.  The choir rehearses every Wednesday evening and sings during worship on most Sundays, September through May. Choir meets from 7:15 to 8:30 pm during Lent.

Bible Study Group (Thursdays, 3:00 PM)

This informal study group meets weekly at 3:00 pm in the office conference room.  Resources include basic study materials, historical fiction, books from leading theologians and current videos.  All are welcome and no previous knowledge is required.

Women’s Spirituality (Monthly, 7:00 PM)

Gathering to develop a deeper understanding of our personal relationship with the spirit of God, this small group meets monthly at the home of Ellen Barnhart, 822 Ridgewood Avenue.  Please e-mail ellenbarnhart@hotmail.com or call 515-232-3855 for more information.
