2022 Organizations Supported by Ames UCC
& the Social Justice and Outreach Team

Here are the 2022 local and regional allocations:
Picture

One of the responsibilities of SOJO is to allocate local/regional funds to service organizations. For 2022 SOJO had $5000 available from the church budget for this purpose.  SOJO conducted a survey of congregants seeking their input on increases and necessary decreases in the allocations. Since the funds available to allocate remained the same as was allocated in 2021 any increase needed to be balanced by decreases.

SOJO extends a special thank you to the 16 persons who responded to the survey and to Amy Erica Smith for updating the survey and collating the results.  While many of those who responded were satisfied to have SOJO continue to make the allocations, others suggested small increases or decreases in some allocations.  SOJO reviewed this input and adjusted allocations of The Bridge Home, Planned Parenthood and Good Neighbor Emergency Assistance up slightly and Primary Health Care Farm to Clinic, Story County Community Housing, Pridefest and Romero House down slightly in accordance with suggestions from those who filled out the survey.

SOJO extends appreciation to Steve Young, the AUCC office administrator, for preparing the checks and letters of appreciation to accompany the checks for the local and regional organizations.
