Ames UCC Book Club meets the third Wednesday of the month at 2:30 p.m. from September through June. Past books have included Go Set A Watchman by Harper Lee, The Summer Before the War by Helen Simonson, and The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind: Creating Currents of Electricity and Hope by William Kamkwamba.

Theologian in Residence (TIR)
TIR is an annual weekend-long event that stimulates and challenges our thinking about issues of faith as they are informed by the Bible, religious traditions, and contemporary theological discussion. All sessions are free and open to the public. Past theologians have included Phyllis Tickle, Walter Brueggeman, Diana Butler Bass, Amy Jill Levine, John Shelby Spong, John Dominic Crossan, and Marcus Borg.
